METHODS OF AVOIDING DETECTION.
A definite instance of how Germany is trying to trade through neutral countries is afforded in the following letter received by an English | firm from Messrs. Sigmund Goldschmiedt, of Reichenberg, Bohemia.
The letter was not posted in Bohemis, but in Italy; it proposes, it will be seen, that the goods shall be shipped by way of Genos; and it shows how the English firm may hoodwink the British Government by making payment to a Swiss firm in Zurich, which is to take the place of the German firm in the transactions in order to hide the true nature of that trans- action :--
